Program Description

The Hometown Hero Banner program is intended to honor Veterans native of the Town of Erving, or who currently reside in Erving, and have been honorably discharged from the military, or are currently serving.  Banners will exhibit the image of the Veteran/ Service Member, branch of service, years of service, and campaign served in.  

Location of Banners

They will be placed on East & West Main Streets, and on Town-owned property, as space is available.  Specific location requests are not accepted.  If maximum banner capacity is reached you will be placed on the list for the following year.

Application Process

A completed application must be submitted with a corresponding military service photo for consideration in the program.  Only one application is accepted per Veteran.  Applications can be downloaded as a PDF file below, or picked up from the following locations:

  • Town Hall, 12 East Main Street, Erving, MA
  • Senior & Community Center, 1 Care Drive, Erving, MA
  • Public Library, 2 Care Drive, Erving, MA

Cost

There is no cost to participate in the program.
