Residential Leaf Pick-up Begins November 1st

The Town of Erving Highway Department will begin leaf collection on Thursday, November 1, 2018.

The leaf collection program is a free service for Erving residents.  Residents should rake leaves into piles along the curbside.  Please do not block sidewalks or pile leaves in the street.  

The Department begins collection on Erving-Side and will continue east through town. The Department works as quickly as possible, but depending on several factors, the collection could take up-to 2 weeks to complete.

Important: Please ensure that leaf piles do not include sticks, pet waste, glass, or any other household waste. Piles that include these waste items will not be collected.

This is because sticks and other items can clog  the  collection  unit and damage the equipment. Pet waste is a biological hazard that should be disposed of through other means.
