MassDOT Project 609398: Resurfacing and Related Work on Route 2 between Mile Markers 60.25 to 63.9

The Town has been notified by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) that project #609398 has been awarded for construction to Warner Brothers Construction Company. The work is primarily focused on resurfacing Route 2, east of Old State Road through Farley and Erving Center, for a length of 3.65 miles. Warner Brothers has been issued a notice to proceed with the work and they are anticipated to mobilize to the area at the end of March and beginning of April 2024. MassDOT has required the contractor to install messaging boards in advance of the project area to inform motorists of anticipated start dates and potential delays. Detail officers will be utilized to assist residents and motorists to get through the project area safely. Please follow all posted signs and comply with directions provided by the detail officers.
