Free Paper Shredding for Erving Residents- October 30, 2021

On Saturday, October 30, 2021 between 9:00AM and 12:00PM, the Towns of Erving, Gill and Northfield will be holding a free paper shredding event at the Erving Senior & Community Center, 1 Care Drive, Erving, MA 01344.

Important: This opportunity is for the residents of these towns only. Residents will need to bring proof of residency to show the vendor.

All papers will be securely shredded on-site and then recycled at a paper mill.

Bring the following papers for shredding:
  • Canceled or blank checks, checkbooks
  • Legal papers
  • Credit card statements or offers
  • Income tax documents
  • Bank/financial statements
  • Medical records
  • Other documents with social security or credit card information
LIMIT per vehicle:
  • 3 recycling bins or 6 paper bags full of the above papers.

Please note: that shredded paper is no longer accepted in household recycling in western Massachusetts.

This event has been funded by the Towns of Erving, Gill, and Northfield and has been coordinated by the Franklin County Solid Waste District.
