Public Notice

The Erving Conservation Commission will hold a public hearing under MGL, Ch. 131 s. 40, Wetlands Protection Act on February 4, 2019 at 7:30pm at Erving Town Hall, 12 East Main Street, on the Notice of Intent filed by BSC Group, Inc. (BSC) on behalf of Massachusetts Electric Company d/b/a National Grid (MECO) for the installation of a secondary line extension to service the residence at 236 North Street in Erving, Massachusetts (the Project). Activities include the installation of two (2) new utility poles and anchors along an existing gravel driveway. To provide clearance for the new overhead line, the removal of seven (7) trees along the edge of the driveway will be required. 

Project activities will occur with the 100-Buffer Zone to Inland Bank/Bordering Vegetated Wetland and 200-foot Riverfront Area associated with Jacks Brook. Overall, the Project is necessary to allow MECO to provide reliable electrical service to its customer.
