Conversation Regarding Design Alternatives for Route 2 at Holmes Avenue

The Town is hosting a conversation with Erving residents to discuss the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) Project # 604959- ERVING- RECONSTRUCTION & IMPROVEMENTS ON ROUTE 2 (FARLEY AREA) FROM MM 60 TO MM 62.9.

This project is being overseen by MassDOT and is being engineered by Green International.  The project is meant to address Route 2 improvements from the west end of Old State Road through to Mountain Road. 

This particular conversation will be focused on design options for addressing safety concerns in the Farley village around Holmes Avenue and the intersections with Route 2.  Green International has prepared conceptual options for feedback. 

The Town is arranging these conversations between our MassDOT partners, our residents and officials, and the greater community because of the serious concerns that need to be considered to improve the safety of the Route 2 corridor.  Our residents, public works and public safety members are well versed in these issues, and we believe can provide important considerations.
