Museum & Park Passes

The library has the following museum passes available for loan! Please check with the individual museum or facility before planning your visit, as restrictions, procedures, and varying open hours may apply - "know before you go." 

All passes check out for three-five days and may be returned in our outside book drops.

Currently available at Erving Public Library:

  • Brattleboro Museum & Art CenterFree admission to exhibits for all members of one household.
  • Children's Museum at HolyokeUp to 6 people 1/2 off admission.
  • Clark Museum & Art InstituteWilliamstown (free admission for up to 1 adult per day and free for all without pass January-March)
  • DCR State Parks PassWaives the daily parking fee for most DCR parks. List of participating facilities.
  • Eric Carle Museum of Picturebook ArtFree admission for up to 2 adults and 4 children per visit.
  • First Light Northfield Mountain Trail Pass: Voucher entitles bearer to a full day ski or fat bike trail pass. Cross country ski rentals included, subject to availability.
  • LaunchSpaceAdmission on Saturday from 10am-4pm to the makerspace for 1 adults and 2 children 7+; appointment with LaunchSpace is required - tours available on Wednesday and Saturday.
  • Mass MoCA: Using the pass provides free admission for up to 2 adults (16 and up) and 2 children under the age of 16. Children under 6 are free. While the museum is using reservations for some shows, library pass users are guaranteed a spot in the galleries.
  • Zoo in Forest Park. The pass can be used for admission of up to 5 people. Children under one are always free. Guests who use the pass receive a 10% discount in our Gift Shop. Guests may use the pass for certain special event days. Guests may not use the pass for the following ticketed Zoo events: Eggstravaganza: the Saturday before Easter, Brew at The Zoo: the first Saturday of August, Spooky Safari: the Saturday before Halloween. Parking in Forest Park is managed and collected by The City of Springfield and is not included in the Library Membership. The parking fee is $3/in-state plate and $5/out-of-state plate. The best GPS address to input for The Zoo is 293 Sumner Ave, Springfield, MA 01108.

Off Season passes at Erving Public Library:

These passes are off season or expired and will be reviewed by a librarian before they are available again for checkout.

  • Barton Cove Paddler's Pass (free 2 hour rental of one vessel. Vessels include kayak, canoe, or standup paddle board). Erving cardholders only. Call (413) 863-9300 for more information.
  • Berkshire Museum (50% off general admission for up to 2 adults and 2 children ages 3-17)
  • Children's Museum at Holyoke (Up to 6 people 1/2 off)
  • Historic Deerfield (free admission for up to four guests)
  • Look Park (parking pass for 1 vehicle)
  • Magic Wings Butterfly ConservatoryFull admission for 2 adults; child admission 3-17 must be paid separately; under 3 years old are free. **we do not have any punches left in this pass until July
  • Mass Audubon (Admits up to 4 people for $2 per visitor; under 2 years old are free)
  • Mike's Maze (free admission for 2). Available September-October 2023. Open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Some activities limited on Fridays.
  • Porter-Phelps-Huntington Museum (Admits 2 adults and 2 children; tours Sun-Wed 1-4pm through October 15)
  • Springfield Museums: Buy one full-price admission, get one for 1/2 price. One ticket admits visitors to all five quadrangle museums. Admission is free for all on the first Wednesday of every month.

Steamship Historical Society of America:

  • General website that has a searchable database of the steamship archives. View library records, browse images and learn more about some of the objects and people that make up these unique archives.
  • Educational website that uses primary sources and other materials to explore how steamship travel radically altered the course of history through immigration, trade and leisure. There are lesson plans, activities and oral histories on topics ranging from Italian immigration in the early 20th century to the rise of containerization and its effect on global shipping.
  • Patrons may also visit the Ship History Center in Warwick, RI, for a behind-the-scenes tour of their archives weekdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Please call in advance to arrange an appointment due to staffing.
  • PowerShips magazine available at the library.
